Defence is a controversial business. Some people believe the industry should not exist at all, others see it as vital to national security. This makes it essential for BAE Systems, the defence and aerospace company, to demonstrate strong sustainability performance.
We have worked with the company since 2001, helping it launch its CS programme and its first performance report. BAE Systems’ reports are sector-leading and frequently quoted. The reports feature dialogue with stakeholders ranging from investors and trade union representatives to the Institute for Business Ethics and the campaigning organisation, Saferworld.
Since 2007 we have organised and facilitated an external advisory panel to provide feedback on BAE System’s CS strategy and reporting.
