European Commission

Context worked with the European Commission, the Environment Ministry of Germany and the European Environment Agency on its ground-breaking project tackling The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB).

TEEB’s first report was launched in May 2008, setting out a compelling economic case for the conservation of biodiversity, equivalent to the Stern Review’s case for action on Climate Change. The report was aimed at a global audience of policymakers, economists and business people to achieve timely action to prevent potentially disastrous biodiversity loss.

We helped the TEEB steering group ensure that the complex subjects covered were clearly communicated and accessible to a wide audience.
