Dr Richard Robson Affiliate Until March 2006, Dick Robson was the Director Sustainable Development and Responsible Care at the European Chemical Industry Council, (Cefic) in Brussels. One of his responsibilities included the global coordination of the International Responsible Care initiative which is run in 52 countries. Prior to his work with Cefic, where he was Director of Communications, Dick had a distinguished career at ICI, the speciality chemicals manufacturer. There he was responsible for Group communications on environmental issues worldwide. ICI was an early pioneer in environmental reporting at a time the chemicals industry was under close scrutiny for its environmental performance. Dick launched ICI’s first environmental report and reporting remained one of his responsibilities until he joined Cefic in 1999.
